CommunityNWCC is a church in the community and we firmly believe that 'community' is of vital importance to this nation. The church is therefore involved in the community in general and through regular and one off events: The Retired Group meets once a month on a Wednesday afternoon. There is a well organised program featuring local speakers. Cinema Club 49 shows films for school aged young people at the Weeke Community Centre, normally on the Wednesday in half term holidays, and on a Wednesday in term holidays. This is a free event, and fruit juice and popcorn are provided part way through. Parents are welcome to stay. Matinee Club shows films aimed more at those who are at home during the day. Again this is at the Weeke Community Centre and runs about every other month. The films shown are normally older classics. This event is free and tea and cake are provided part way through. Gardening outside Harestock shops on the first Saturday of the month, 9:30am. NWCC has taken on responsibility for the planting and weeding of the beds, and also picks up much litter in the area. If you would like to help with this, no matter how occasionally, then please just come along. Other eventsNWCC have also been involved in:
